Everything you need to know about converting images to PDF

The tool accepts all common image formats including JPEG / JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and WebP. Any file your browser recognises as an image (via the accept="image/*" filter) can be uploaded. For best PDF quality, use JPEG or PNG as they produce the most consistent output.

The server automatically compresses and re-encodes your images so the final PDF output file does not exceed 1 MB in size. This means very high-resolution or large images will be downscaled and re-encoded at a lower JPEG quality to fit within the limit.

For documents like scanned forms, certificates, and ID copies, the output quality is typically excellent. For photography or designs requiring pixel-perfect fidelity, consider one of the higher-limit variants: 500 KB (tighter) or this 1 MB limit (more room for quality).

Yes — your images are uploaded to our secure server for processing. The conversion (merging, compression, PDF packaging) happens server-side. Files are processed immediately and are not stored permanently — they are deleted after the PDF is generated and downloaded. Do not upload files containing sensitive personal data if you have privacy concerns.

There is no hard limit on the number of images. You can upload as many files as you need, as long as the total combined size does not exceed 100 MB. Each image becomes one page in the final PDF, in the order it was selected. For very large batches, consider splitting them into groups to keep conversion time fast.

The total size of all uploaded images must be 100 MB or less. This limit exists to keep conversion fast and server resources fair for all users. If your batch exceeds 100 MB, remove some files or reduce image resolution before uploading. The output PDF, regardless of input size, will always be compressed to below 1 MB.

The images appear in the PDF in the same order they are selected in your file picker. To control the order, select files in the exact sequence you want them to appear — most operating systems allow you to click files in order (hold Ctrl / Cmd to multi-select in a specific sequence). If you need to reorder after selecting, clear the selection and re-select in the correct order.

Common causes of conversion errors:

(1) Corrupted image file — try re-saving the image in a different format (e.g. save as PNG instead of TIFF).

(2) Unsupported colour mode — CMYK images (common in print exports) may cause issues. Convert to RGB first using an image editor.

(3) Total size exceeded 100 MB — the upload was rejected. Remove some files and try again.

(4) Network timeout on very large batches — split into smaller groups and convert separately.

Large or high-resolution images are automatically downscaled during conversion to bring the total PDF size under 1 MB. The server applies intelligent JPEG compression — reducing resolution proportionally while preserving aspect ratio. The result is suitable for digital sharing, email attachments, and institutional submissions. If you need to retain full resolution, the images should be pre-optimised before uploading, or use a tool without a size cap.

Yes. The output is a standard PDF 1.4-compatible file that opens in all major PDF readers — Adobe Acrobat, Foxit, SumatraPDF, browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari), and on iOS and Android. Each image is embedded as a full page, so the layout is consistent across all viewers. Text is not selectable since the pages are image-based, but the document prints and renders correctly.

Yes — completely free with no registration, no login, and no watermark on the output PDF. There are no daily conversion limits. Use it as many times as you need.
